Once I asked a friend:

 

How do you fill the time between work and work?

 

With weekends. Simply switch my attention from what I have to do to what I want to do, – my friend replied simply.

 

I envisioned the traditional barbecue, skewers with smoke, among dear people… – and the idea of smoking meat while cooking skewers on the barbecue was born. As a result of our search, we came up with what we called Slace. They were discs with a diameter of 7 cm and a thickness of 1.5 cm made from pressed young cherry branches. When they landed on the quiet charcoal, they emitted clean and aromatic smoke, and the skewers themselves acquired a reddish-golden color with an enticing smoky aroma. But we didn’t stop there; we went further.

 

Several days later, I asked my friend again:

 

How do we spend time when we visit each other? What do we talk about? What do we share?

 

It’s no secret, trustful communication is based on an ancient formula: the stronger the drinks, the more sincere the conversation, – he joked.

 

We thought that developing a new alcoholic beverage is not such a noble goal, but refreshing and bringing novelty to an existing tradition without promoting alcohol is something else. For example: the ritual of smoking whiskey with a smoker. This method is quite well known in America and among whiskey lovers worldwide. Smoke is delivered directly into the whiskey glass and allows you to reveal and feel a more complex and deeper flavor. Or making cocktails with smoke – isn’t that something new? Moreover, we already have experience with smoke thanks to Slace. But the existing smoker design has several significant drawbacks, the main ones being resins and oils formed when burning wood, which end up directly in the drink glass along with the smoke… – and we developed a resin trapping chamber, changed the quality, material, and design of the smoker itself, increasing its efficiency.

 

As a result, we got an entirely new device of a new generation with smoke purification, made of stainless steel, and extremely low wood consumption. Now, even from a single piece of wood, we can get one portion of smoked drink. It was truly a fantastic result. The smoker was named “Smoker by Old Slace.” But we didn’t stop there; we went further.

 

The questions didn’t end:

 

What snacks and delicacies can delight us at the table?… – and using the obtained perfect smoker design, we came up with a tabletop smokehouse to give a wonderful smoky aroma to any snack right on the table.

A universal, aesthetic, and very practical tabletop device consisting of two elements was born: a dish for serving snacks and a lid with a built-in smoker. Thanks to the unique generation of light smoke, the smokehouse was named “SmokeDelight.” Now we all have the opportunity to smoke absolutely any ready-made product, depending on our imagination and preferences, and the concept of “liquid smoke” can be forgotten forever.

 

Dishes prepared at home using ovens, electric grills, can be passed through the SmokeDelight smokehouse. Once I had to smoke a pizza and even stuffed eggs. The taste is unpredictable. Not to mention standard snack sets, such as “beer plates” with cheese, ham, sausages, fish. Try smoking meatballs, cabbage rolls, you will be very surprised. And what about the emotions that arise during the smoking process and the appearance of snacks with a light smoke on the festive table. But we don’t stop there. We go further.

 

We want to emphasize separately that all our research would not have made sense if they were aimed solely at profit. Fortunately, in our case, the benefit to society is obvious. We are very pleased to create the opportunity to unite in small but strong friendly centers, to share time, experience new feelings, and even absolutely contradictory emotions, all to the good. And together with you, we will continue to make only quality and convenient things, and they will not be cheap.
